I am really pleased with the number of young people who are joining my campaign. At a time when there is great anger with the way our MPs are coming across to the public and apathy is widespread to see such enthusiasm in our young people for change and to be part of that change is of great credit to them.
Recently I received an email from a 17 year old living in Warrington North, who speaks I think for many young people concerned for their future.
Dear Paul
I'm a 17 year old living in Warrington, I take politics at college along with other subjects. I've become disheartened with Labour and I can see how they have destroyed my future in the way they have run down this country. Of course I was only five years old when Labour came to parliament in 1997. I'm from a working class family, with parents who'd do anything for me and my older sister. I believe that David Cameron can offer change and honesty to the people of this country.
I live in the Birchwood area and I see people who depend fully on welfare. The dependency on the welfare system runs in families, a father won’t work then his son sees that its normal not to work then it carries on. It's a joke. It's becoming a joke which this country can no longer afford.
The British public, the tax payers have the right to know the truth about the debt of the country and to what extents will be needed to return our country to her greater glory.
I want to help in the run up to the General Election, I want to help change my future for the better.
Thank you
